St John the Baptist Chester: Up close and personal

Saint John the Baptist Chester is a Grade I listed church with a rare transitional style of architecture. It was once Chester’s Cathedral and the majesty of the interior is testament to such grandeur.

Grosvenor has had the privilege of refurbishing the roof and stone work over two phases which has brought us up close and personal to some of the hidden details in this magnificent church.

Installation of a scaffold crash deck meant that we were able to see at first hand some of the carved corbels on the eaves line and also the magnificent stained glass.
