We’re very proud… a sweep of awards for a very special project

Yr Ysgwrn was the home of World War I poet Hedd Wyn.

Completed in 2017 – Grosvenor has been proud to be involved in such a remarkable project which saw the bringing back to life of the Welsh Bard’s home; the re-purposing of outlying agricultural buildings and the introduction of a state of the art visitor centre.

Right from the start this project felt very special – all of our team – worked tirelessly to make sure that we produced a fit and finish that respected the memory of Hedd Wyn.

We’re very proud to announce that Yr Ysgwrn has won more awards including :

  1. RICS Wales Project of the Year in the Building Conservation Category
  2. RSAW Welsh Architecture Award 2018 (an RIBA regional award for Wales)
  3. RSAW Conservation Award
  4. RSAW 2018 Project Architect of the Year to project architect Elgan Jones –sponsored by Taylor Maxwell
  5. RSAW 2018 Building of the Year 2018
