The church is a Grade II listed building.It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Birkenhead.

Using modern structural engineering technology alongside traditional craftsmanship, Grosvenor Construction have carefully dismantled the old retaining wall adjacent to the main road. A modern structural defence wall was required to prevent further subsidence and to ensure the safety of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Our brief is to carry out the following

  • Carefully dismantle the existing masonry. Clean and store for re-use
  • Provide and install a reinforced concrete retaining wall
  • Clad new concrete wall with existing masonry salvaged from demolition
  • Constructed in traditional lime mortar
